As it happens, I was at the very first running of VentureQuest twenty-one years ago and took a “bunch” of race photos. Back then my Sony Mavica camera used a 1.44 MB floppy disk as a “memory card,” took 1 frame per 10 seconds, and made sub-megapixel (640x480) resolution images. Some things have changed a lot (my camera gear and dark brown hair to name a few), but EX2 is still producing action packed adventure races at Fountainhead and I was excited to be able to capture some of the action this past weekend.
