I was able to sneak in a little bird watching before the waves of runners overtook my first location. High up in a tree overlooking the bay, a feisty osprey was letting everyone know it was up for whatever may come. I snapped a few pics and caught it taking flight. Two minutes later the first runners were already down the hill and I spent the next couple of hours taking nearly 10,000 photos of trail runners. The cloudy skies made for a nice flat and consistent light which is much appreciated when working in the woods in early spring before the leaves fill in to make shady spots. As always it was great to see so many smiling faces even deep into a second “ten” mile lap.
