Late-Summer Photo Adventures
It's August and at SBRP home base in the Shenandoah Valley we've spotted a few trees that have turned from green to gold and the few days of cooler temps have got us thinking about fall race season. But before we break out the pumpkin spice everything, there's still a lot more summer fun to be had.
We are going to two great parks before summer is over for Mini Action Portrait Sessions. Come out and explore the miles of trails and let us take your picture without race day stresses. Manassas and Blandy both offer miles of trails to explore and have lots of opportunities for neat images.
August 14: Manassas Battlefield
September 11: State Arboretum of Virginia, Blandy Experimental Farm
Our friends at EX2 Adventures have more trail action with their final Blue Crab Boltrace coming up this weekend. There's still time to put a team together and jump into their classic "sprint" adventure race, VentureQuest. It's where we got out start photographing action sports and where even total beginners can have a fun day testing out your navigation skills and team dynamics.
If you're looking to support a good cause, join us Saturday morning 18 September as we cover the annual ZERO Prostate Cancer Capital Area Run/Walk. We have photographed this event since 2013 and it's always inspiring to see families coming together to support their survivor or pay homage to lost loved ones.
Want to race the District?! There's a new race in town and we're headed to our Nation's Capital to spend the morning with Pacers Running and their DCHalf Marathon (and relay). This race has been a long time coming and we're super psyched to see thousands of runners back in the streets!
